I don't see any big bugs, except that you should call init_port and
init_8259 only _after_ setting up the protected-mode handler for
IRQ 7.

The real problem in this program seems to be that it doesn't do
anything that is supposed to trigger an interrupt from the LPT port.
My references indicate that the interrupt happens when there's an
acknowledge pulse, so you should do something that causes the printer
to send such a pulse.
