Right. C is a subset of C++. The reason for that is making it possible to
have pieces of C code in C++ programs. While one can argue that it's not a
nice thing to mix C and C++ techniques, another can have insufficient time
or resources to port a perfectly working C library to C++ and will benefit
from C being a subset of C++ because he'll not have to rewrite the complete
thing.
