I believe you are running into the maximum line length problem of Win*.

Try placing the names of your .o files into a simple text file, one per
line,
and issue: c:\...\ld @simple.txt

When the various gcc programs talk to each other with very long command
lines, there is no problem, but calling one of the programs by hand does.

Have you considered using 'make' since it can handle the long command lines?
