Which installation instructions did you follow correctly? The one with
the book or the ones in README.1ST? If it was the instructions in the
book then they might be bad. Use the instructions in README.1ST.

Hmm. Are you running WINDOZE ME or not? WINDOZE ME doesn't have a DOZE
mode. You mean a DOZE box in WINDOZE, right?

This indicates you didn't follow the instructions in README.1ST.

I think you don't want to change LFN. It should be LFN=y.
