Hi,

I know this is not really on topic, and I guess this may be a
stupid question anyway. But:
For a research project I need the possibility of playing mpegs.
Playback should be time-synched with another device (an EEG
amplifier), so I need control of exactly when playback will
start, and a way to trigger my amplifier.
Therefore a solution incorporating the ms windows player seems
out of the question, as exact timing seems completely
impossible.
My dream solution would be an open source mpeg player for good
ol' dos, preferably compilable with DJGPP.

Is there anything out there that resembles this descritpion?

TIA,

Manni

PS: I am not tied to the mpg format, but avi seems even more
unlikely.
