I would suggest putting DJGPP somewhere less deep in the tree, or you
run
the risk of running into problems with pathnames that are too long.

It's 'gcc -v' (note the space).

Now, what do you mean by 'can't load' - what does it say (if anything)
when you type 'gcc' at the command prompt?
What does 'go32-v2' say?
What packages did you install (djdev, gcc, gpp, ...), and did you use
a decent unzipper (i.e. not WinZip)?
