Sorry, I goofed: COMPILER_PATH does NOT need a trailing slash (in
fact, it will break the installation).  It's GCC_EXEC_PREFIX (in case
you need it) that requires the slash.  See the node "Environment
Variables" in the GCC manual, it lists a few other variables you might
need to put into this [gcc2721] section to make it work.
