IMHO, it _is_ a bug.  And with latest compilers becoming more picky
about the differences between `char' and `const char', such problems
will begin biting programmers.

I think we should commend Rafal Maj, not ridicule him, for not
neglecting such seemingly ``minor'' issues.  It's the people that do
neglect them who should be ashamed.  Remember: Free Software can never
become as good as it gets without each one of you contributing
something.
