I'm about ready to throw my CD-R through the window. hasn't burned a
successful CD in like 20 tries, and it takes a good half an hour before
it gives me the error message.

Heh, I almost wish I was debugging right now.... Doing simulated 3d on a
2d bitmap theory...  I now know why developers of old school fantasy
games decided on fixed perspective instead of stuff rendering when you
moved around it.
