Ok, we didn't know about that. We generally assume that you own a DOS/Win
system when you post here since DJGPP is so specific to DOS.

Yeah, that's true with any package, not just gettext. And that's why we
include an sed script that can edit the configure script before it is run so
that it doesn't break. So basically, nothing affects the Unix package as
such. To build the files, we have a separate batch file (a script basically)
which runs sed and then runs configure. I hope you're getting the point.
