Hi,

I got it working! You were right, the problem was, that there is another
make in my system that is located in c:\win2000. I have absolutely no idea
where it came from. It has no option to output the version number and it
won't tell me to who it belongs. The only problem I still have is that when
I call GNU applications recursive, deeper than 2 levels, they will crash.
Someone already told me though, that this is a bug and that it is
unavoidable. I will have to write a batch that executes make in the
corresponding directories, so that I won't have to call make from make.

Sorry for bugging you with this problem. It didn't have much to do with
DJGPP, but nevertheless thank you very much with your very quick and
friendly support.
