Is this NT or Windows 2000?  They have an incompatible version of `redir' 
in their Windows\System32 directory.  Make sure you don't invoke it.

Also make sure you have the latest djdev203.zip.

If the above doesn't help, I can send you a patched version of `redir' 
where a subtle bug is fixed.  That bug is known to crash `redir' in some 
rare cases.
