To respond to my own post:  Other messages in this ng have told people
to 1) invoke RHIDE from the source file directory, and 2) create
project files.  Those suggestions worked; I can now compile EXE's.

However, it's  still giving an "Unmatched quote character" error
message, and I would appreciate it if anyone knows why it's happening
and can tell me how to get rid of it.
