With regards to installing libsocket's binary distribution:

Unfortunately I can't see a way of automating this from a batch file,
since the command-line to install-info depends on the path to the DJGPP
directory. %DJDIR% is not defined. I could do it with a bash script, but
then users would require bash. Since the instructions are pretty clear on
how to run install-info, I think they are sufficient.
