By "inline assembler", you mean inside C or Pascal?  Do you have the basic
interrupt routine and you just need to optimize it?

How do you mean "protect the service routine in memory"??  I've written
a hundred interrupt handlers, but I've never had to "protect" any memory.
Or is this interrupt handler part of a TSR rather then an application?
