Hi
I am tying to develop an image editor in DJGPP and ALLEGRO , supporting =
DIB format,.
for Dos PMI

The problem is:

I have the images having the palette different from that stored by =
default (say i am using 8bit ) .

My interface uses GRAY , BLACK, WHITE etc shades which are taken from =
the deafult palette. when the image is loaded i also have to load its =
palette. This will change the interface colors too , like the buttons, =
menus.

How do ppl normally get around this problem. How do i preserve my =
default palette and also load the palete of the BMP file.

w/o affecting my interface.

I hope u ppl got my problem.=20

Thanx in advance
Sid:}
