(This is my third consequtive question regarding Allegro. Is it appropriate
to ask these questions here?)

How does one use an Allegro datafile as file format for a program, in which
the program may
save data? I want to _save_ to Allegro datafiles.

A file exists, datedit.c, that appears to be for this purpose.
Unfortunately it is part of the tools directory, and doesn't seem designed
to be used external to Allegro.

Any tips?

Edmund.
