Put it where? And who is ``it'' that changes the path? Please explain
yourself more clearly, or else we will not be able to help you.

What does ``directory not recognized'' mean? is it an error message
printed from somewhere? If so, what program prints it?

In general, DOS and Windows recognize both forward slashes and
backslashes alike, so it shouldn't matter. The above problems can only
only happen if you use some Windows application that doens't recognize
forward slashes. ALL DJGPP programs support both styles of slashes.
