Thanks for replying so soon!  Sadly, I tried your advice to no avail. 
I'm still getting it mixed up.

Both
gpp -g mufcode.o mufcoder.o -Lc:\windows\desktop\tcl\code\library -lgame
-o muf.exe 
and
gpp -g mufcode.o mufcoder.o -o muf.exe
-Lc:\windows\desktop\tcl\code\library -lgame
produced the same linker errors as before.
I even tried
gpp -Lc:\windows\desktop\tcl\code\library -g mufcode.o mufcoder.o -1game
-o muf.exe
but still got the same 100 or so 'undefined reference to...' errors.

Thanks much for your help.  I hope you can clear up my misinterpretation
of your advice.
