ive heard to set it to a separate, or at least less-used hard drive (if
possible) so page swapping can go relatively uninterrupted.  also, it should
be fat16, and in its own partition (to prevent fragmentation)...

if you have the space, set it to a couple of hundred meg as well.

this is not definite, just some stuff i recall someone telling me.
