I clearly disagree with THIS thread being off topic.
Subj directly relates to issues in DJGPP/ALLEGRO,
and relate DIRECTLY to segfaults related to the statements
below.  Since the INTERNAL mechanics of Allegro and
DJGPP are at work when these PARTICULAR statements
are utilized... the subj warrants valid consideration.
Period.  (read my closing statements below)

Gosh, it would of been nice to see you provide the proper 
malloc-ed array of Palette's....

and! lets not forget!  I've always said that I _do_ welcome Email
responces... so please do not be shy out there in DJGPP land
to email someone as long as THAT topic remains to what the
posted message is about... thanks!
