I don't knowwether the above statement has a ironic tone in it, but IMHO
many new users are just lazy to even check and see wether there is any
mention in the docs, or they don't know how to access the doc's. 

For example it might be obvious to us that there is a FAQ in the djgpp/faq
directory, but to a newbie who has just installed DJGPP the fact might not
be that obvious... 

FWIW I find that whenever I have a problem, most of the time a news group
archive search at dejanews.com quickly gives me what I want.
