Unless you have a Cirrus Logic card..
I used my own custom video routines and I got reports that it
couldn't be run on nVidia cards despite offering 6 different
combinations of video mode:

15bpp linear
16bpp linear
15bpp banked
16bpp banked
15bpp cirrus hack
16bpp cirrus hack
