> Quake is a fine example of a highly optimised bit of code.

Had this argument with Damian several months ago.

Just to recap:

GCC/DJGPP
  Quake

Final score: 1

WATCOM
  Doom (and derivatives)
  System Shock
  Warcraft I and II
  Crusader
  Abuse
  MechWarrior and Mercs
... too many more, some good, some bad.

Final score: >1

Why is it that Quake is always the first name people scream whenever someone
asks about who "really" uses DJGPP? It's like its the hallmark event of the
compiler. Personally, I think the best thing about DJGPP is DJGPP, and the
people who work to bring it to us, the end users.

Again, I'm off topic and on a different tangent.
