Correct.  I switch hit between RHIDE (under fast-booting DOS or
multitasking Windows 9x) and GNU make.  I tend to use RHIDE when first
writing my program under DOS (change a bit, Ctrl+F9, it screws up,
change a bit, Ctrl+F9, it screws up, change a bit, Ctrl+F9, it works,
go off and play some Vitamins) and GNU make when porting it to
GNU/Linux (haven't got around to installing Linux RHIDE).

Many of my Allegro-based programs come with these files:
  makefile.dj        Makefile for DJGPP
  makefile.nix       Makefile for GNU tools running on Eunuchs
  winmake.bat        Batch file for MinGW32
