It's possible that something is thwarting your attempts to get PATH 
order right.

So please type "set > envlist.txt" from the command line in the same 
session where you invoke GCC, then post here the contents of the file 
`envlist.txt' created by that command.

Also, please make sure that the DJGPP bin subdirectory indeed includes 
the ld.exe program.  If it doesn't, you need to download and install the 
GNU Binutils package, v2gnu/bnu2951b.zip from the same place you get 
DJGPP.
