Do a web search and/or get a good book:

http://www.cerfnet.com/~mpcline/c++-faq-lite/how-to-learn-cpp.html
http://www.accu.org/bookreviews/public/reviews/0sb/beginner_s_c__.htm

You can also get help in alt.comp.lang.learn.c-c++, comp.lang.c and
comp.lang.c++
