You cannot compile gcc under Windows NT 4.0. This is because of DPMI
problems that cause
the compilation stage to fail. I've tried to compile the latest gcc sources
under NT  woth my LFN services loaded so I had no problems with long
filenames..

Emacs can be built, though ....
