You may try similar solution to my OS Loader.

OS Loader I wrote is a program that boots from a FAT12/16 disk (no matter floppy
or hdd) in real mode without any other OS, just BIOS. Then it can load a 32-bit
PMode program (already compiled by GCC), setup PMode, PIC and transferr the
control. 

I.e. no DOS, DPMI or anything else.
