Hello everyone thanks in advance for any replies. I recently installed the
Scitech Display Doctor coming from a universal 1.x SVGA driver. Some programs
that used to work don't work anymore. The code was based on Shawn's samples @
http://www.delorie.com/djgpp/doc/ug/graphics/vesa.html
specifically, the find_vesa_mode(int w, int h) function no longer will detect
a 640x480 resolution (mode 257). A little program I have to display modes
available only shows 800x600, however, programs using allegro are able to
use 640x480. Any ideas? I'd rather not link this program with allegro as
I didn't need to previously.

all the best,
Darren
