I use WinAllegro  with Microsoft Visual C 6.0 . Allegro makes a very good
wrapper for DirectX ( DirectDraw ) . My old raycast project runs good under
Visual C and Allegro wip 3932 . I had to add or change 5 -6 ( simple ) lines
of code .
