You could maybee try getting a hold of an old version of laplink and a parallel or
null-modem serial cable.

Does it have PCMCIA slots i.e. get an old ethernet caard, find someone with a Novell
server and a dos client if possible - would probably be fastest.

Does it have a removeable hard drive (or are you willing to take the cover off to
yank it out)? You should be able to get a small adapter (I have seen them while
fixing other people's computers but don't have one myself) to convert from the mini
IDE connector to the regular desktop size IDE connector (usually also needs a free
power cable in the desktop as laptops supply the power to power the drive through
the IDE connector as well)
