Do you have an old cc-mode.el lying around, from some older version of
Emacs?  If so, remove it and use the version supplied with em2005b.zip

If the above doesn't solve the problems, please describe how to
reproduce this problem beginning with Emacs invocation "emacs -q".
FWIW, I never had any such problems, and I'm aditing C sources all the
time.
