If you have the Allegro game lib, it has timer interrupt routines.

Otherwize you might be getting into re-programing the PIT chip.
Easy in real mode, but I dont know about protected.

There might be somthing in the x2ftp ftp site.

Subject: Accurate timing!

Hello everyone...
is there a library for calculating accurate time
between 2 events?
currently is use clock() (time.h), but i think it is
not accurate enough! (it gives 0 for short periods!!)

  thank you in advance...

Urs forever...
