Why can't the configure script check for these two issues and DTRT
automagically?  In particular, AFAIK Posix doesn't define the gecos
member in struct passwd, so a portable program shouldn't rely on it.

Please consider packaging glib in the usual DJGPP manner and uploading
it to SimTel.NET.  Thanks.
