Did you also upgrade the compiler? I guess so. Then try going back to the old version or
play more with the optimization switches. Also try -Os. gcc 2.95 aligns better, it means:
bloats the code in favor of speed. Also try changing the aligning switches (gcc 2.95 added
various to fine tune the aligment).
