My problem is mostly that I'm just trying to figure out what certain classes and functions are for. I'm studying this for a while and I'm getting anxious to write a program already. (more than just a few lines) Also I misunderstood what "compliant" meant. I figured anything missing from djgpp would be some exotic algorithm I would never use for a long time. I understand that its not a big deal and anything "missing" is somewhere under a different name. I just wanted to understand exactly what is going on. Thanks again. Red
