DJGPP offers the GCC development environment for DOS, as such, its
primary function will be to follow your orders. In that capacity, it is
perfectly capable to do damage to your computer, to the extent your
computer may be damaged by software.

But practically, no. I used it on a daily basis for six or seven years,
and had never done any damage to my computer.

No. Everything is installed in a directory of your choice. I had it on
my D:\USR directory for a while (so that my gcc will be /usr/bin/gcc,
jsut like on a UNIX machine). Then I had to upgrade. I just blew away
that directory. And installed everything in D:\DJGPP.

I did just that today. Blowing away my trusty DJGPP v2.02, and
installing DJGPP v2.03.

Good luck. Remember, all of your questions are already answered in the
FAQ.
