There is A patch somewhere to fix problems in SHIFT???.c not sure for what
system ( I run on intel/dos). I don't remember where I got it from but I got
there by
searching  NEWS group archives (http://www.delorie.com/djgpp/mail-archives/)

for grx patch. There is a message that points you to a private person ( I
think )
site where you can download it from.
It fixed my problem although it didn't look like the right patch since the
original code
specified in the diff file was way out of sync with what I had in my
downloaded grx
shiftscl.c line (number wise).
