You need to install a helper device driver to allow libsocket to work
under Winsock 2. If you look in the redist/ directory (probably called
contrib/ls074b3/redist/), you should see a file called sock.vxd. Copy this
file into your windows system directory, like so:

copy sock.vxd c:\windows\system

Obviously, change 'c:\windows' in the second path to the actual Windows
directory name.

The next beta version should have a nice installer program. If you'd
rather use that, e-mail me and I'll send it to you.

Please note that there are a couple of major flaws in the Winsock 2
interface of libsocket due to sock.vxd - connections are always forcibly
closed (via a TCP packet with the RST flag set), so use of the FTP
protocol is impossible.

Hope this helps.
