I'm an DJGPP user myself - I moved to it from BCC its have found it
wonderful!  as for the unix -like notation - that hasn't caused me any
problems @ all!! its even been a big help - I thing that was all left
in there for GCC compatibility - u c - I can make programs that will
compile in both Linux and DOS using a sing makefile!!! thanx to djgpp -
so there are pluses and minuses - but really - that shouldnot cause any
problems... look @ the allegro & rhide file dialogs - they all handle
dos/Win files correctly - for some tips lookup the allegro source
