i know your position on self-research and that's why i'll just try one time
;-)

would you have the copies of your autoexec.bat and config files with all of
those optimisations (like loading mem manager and high and tsr (or is it
tsr) dirvers and delay cache thing. etc)?

I mean i have been told that one needs to load this and that - i wouldn't
have a clue (i must admit - this is another case of me trying to
"test-before-using" - i am thinking of either running DOS or
slackware-Linux on old crappy 486 - so would be good if i just could try on
DOS with all those appropriate settings and then compare the performance on
Slackware (that one i seem to have going...)
