so hopefully the new guys have fixed it.

Yes (7 Mb cache lmit).  Does it cache CDROMs now?

Aha!  Thanks again (although I'd prefer a Microsoft-free
environment).

PS: (and more on topic)  The original IBM PC I used in the lab
in 1985 (and now in my mother's attic) came with PC DOS 2.1.
