-: As a quick test, run the Allegro "vesainfo -v" program, and see whether -: it prints "tty" as part of the ModeAttributes value for the resolution -: you are interested in. I don't have any experience with Allegro, but would `vesainfo' be useful as a standalone diagnostic tool, just to learn something about the video support on my notebook PC? jtw
