But wouldn't necessarily be good design.

See FAQ section 16.4 for some options.

The best way to work around this, IMHO, is to write a Makefile.  DJGPP
programs can call each other without this limit.  Also, make is quite
a good way to control your builds.

If that's not something you want to do, you can use a response file.
This is explained in the FAQ.
