If you installed Allegro properly (e.g.: unzipped all the files with preserved 
directory structure) then I would say to redownload the .zip, because that's 
definately not a proper make.  Your best bet would be to redownload Allegro 
and try again.  Make absolutely sure that you preserve the directory structure 
when you unzip.  (e.g.: pkunzip -d allegro.zip)
