Actually, I would say that most people understand "hundreds or
thousands" as being more than 500.  200 is more accurately described
as ``a few hundreds'' or ``a couple of hundreds''.

Note that 200 is the absolute maximum in the case in point; the usual
interrupt rate is 18.2.  It hardly makes sense to talk about
``thousands''.
