        Thought you might be interestd in two ditributions of Linux which
can be installed from Windows and then accessed from Windows. Here's what I
found from www.download.com

WinLinux 2000 is a full Linux distribution designed and built to be easily
installed from within Windows 95 or 98. WinLinux 2000 setup and
configuration software automatically detects and configures most of your
hardware devices. You can boot Linux as easily as starting any Windows
application and share free hard disk space between Windows and Linux.
WinLinux includes KDE and Netscape Communicator, as well as a host of other
Linux and X Windows applications. WinLinux 2000 is distributed under the
lesser GPL.'

Phat Linux is a version of Linux that you can install from within Windows.
It allows you to use the Linux OS without having to repartition your hard
disk; it even allows you to select the amount of space that you would like
to set aside for Linux. Installation is as simple as unzipping the ZIP
archive and running a batch file (either within Windows or from a DOS
command prompt). Phat Linux includes communication programs such as Netscape
Communicator and Licq; multimedia programs such as the GIMP and XMMS;
development programs; networking applications; hardware detection and
configuration utilities; XFree86 (X Windows) 3.3.5, which supports many
newer video cards; the Linux kernel source code; setup wizards; and more.
Phat Linux comes preconfigured with the KDE desktop. It is distributed under
the GNU GPL.'

Main drawback is that the download is HUGE, just under 200MB!
