Yes, many have config.sys menus that run into their autoexec.bat using the
%CONFIG% variable set by config.sys. In these systems though, there is normally
(or can be added without any fuss) a common: section in the autoexec.bat that
runs regardless of the item selected in a config menu.

In fact Eli, ALL the "start menu items" ARE shortcuts. Look in your
WINDOWS/Start Menu folder. This is your start menu, lots of shortcuts.

Hehe, I feel basically the same way. I think that people should have at least a
basic idea of using DOS and configuring their system before they start
programming.
