I want to compile C/C++/ASM files with DJGPP/Allegro, but can't. I use
Win98. I have Pentium 300MHZ, 64MB. I used "FilePicker" to download the
proper files, and followed the instructions:

Directories in C:\DJGPP: allegro, bin, gnu, include, info, lang, lib, man,
manifest, share, tmp

Files in C:\DJGPP: copying, copying.dj, copying.lib, djgpp.env,
readme.1st

Lines added to Autoexec.bat: set PATH=C:\DJGPP\BIN;%PATH%
                             set DJGPP=C:\DJGPP\DJGPP.ENV

When a .c file is opened with gcc.exe or gpp.exe, this msg is printed,
"installation problem, cannot exec 'as': No such file or directory
(EN0ENT)". I created a simple #include <stdio.h> void main() { printf("\nIt
works!"); } .c file, to test the installation. Nothing advanced. It detects
any errors in the source, but won't make an .exe. The output of go32-v2.exe
was as follows:

"Rename this to go32.exe only if you need a go32 that can run v2 binaries as
well as v1 binaries (old makefiles). Put ahead of the old go32 in your PATH
but do not delete your old go32 - leave it in the PATH after this one. Set
GO32_V2_DEBUG = y in the evironment to get verbose output".

Help will be appreciated. Thank you.
